Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Workshop
TNR TRAINING classES ARE on hold
Unfortunately there are not enough spay/neuter appointments available for TNR volunteers in NYC, so the ASPCA has temporarily paused new TNR certifications.
However, you can still take the class through Neighborhood Cats - click here to see their schedule.
Volunteer to help in our holding space
(NOTE: MUST COMPLETE TNR CERTIFICATION AND VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION BEFORE YOUR FIRST SHIFT)
Every time a feral cat is trapped to be brought in for spay/neuter and vaccination, they need somewhere to stay before and after surgery. Cats remain in their traps, covered with a sheet, inside a quiet, temperature-controlled garage.
Holding space volunteers help by keeping the cats comfortable and fed - cleaning their traps and providing breakfast and dinner meals a day. Our holding space is located in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn, NY (just east of Prospect Park).
Sign up for our 30 minute volunteer orientation class so you can schedule a shift!
