Job Description : Customer Service Representative 

Job Summary 

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) who wants to join the Flatbush Cats team in our brand new clinic opening in early 2023. As the CSR you will be greeting clients upon arrival and will guide them and their animal(s) through their experience each day. Responsibilities include checking in and checking out each client for their appointments, responding to appointment inquiries, managing financial transactions, and ensuring clients have the best experience possible. 

What You’ll Be Working On

The CSR position will support several key components of the clinic such as: 

  • Respond to client inquiries and questions (phone, email, in person)

  • Support with check in/check out process

  • Handle all end of service payments and transactions

  • Schedule and confirm appointments

  • Maintain organized and correct patient files

  • Guide owners and their animals to proper exam rooms 

  • Answer questions regarding service offerings 

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications 

  • Passion for the clinic’s mission and vision 

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for all clients 

  • Communicate with clients in a respectful, nonjudgmental way 

  • Passionate about working with people and animals

  • Provide outstanding customer service

  • Greet clients, explain all service offerings, finalize intake forms, and guide clients throughout their visit

  • Utilize positive language and excellent communication skills

  • Incredibly organized and detail oriented

  • High comfort level around both cats and dogs

  • Flexible and willing to learn as the clinic changes and grows throughout the first few months of opening 

  • Proficient with computers, able to learn required software programs quickly

  • Team player who is excited to work with a small group of passionate individuals

  • Strong commitment to ethics and integrity

  • Spanish fluency preferred

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to work standing or sitting for 8 or more hours 

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day with help 

  • Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly 

Education/Certifications

  • High school or equivalent preferred, but not required

  • Experience with organization and administrative work preferred, but not required

  • 4 days / week (Monday - Thursday)
